Darwin Island

The remains of a volcano form this famous place, also known as Culpepper Island. Considered one of the Seven Underwater Wonders of the World due to the mixture of cold waters and strong currents that attract hundreds of diving to admire spectacular varieties of marine species such as dolphins, hammerhead sharks, sea lions, manta rays, green turtles, eagle rays, pelagic fish species, and the mating and reproduction of whale sharks. In order to control that an excessive number of tourists produce a negative impact on marine life, this destination can only be visited by yachts with a special permit granted by the Galapagos National Park.
Arco de Darwin
Its main attraction is the Arco de Darwin: an imposing arch of natural stone inhabited by red- footed boobies, marine iguanas, frigates, sea lions, fur seals, swallow-tailed gulls, and sea turtles.
