Wolf or Wenman Island was declared in 2016 as a Marine Sanctuary and only can be visited by yachts with a special permit granted by the Galapagos National Park to control that an excessive number of tourists cause a negative impact on aquatic life. It is one of favorites destination for international scuba divers due to its amazing landscapes and natural beauties of cold and hot water species such as
sharks, giant rays, sea turtles, dolphins, whales, fur seals, hammerhead sharks, sea lions, marine iguanas and hundreds of animals doing acrobatics and delighting visitors who dive under the surface of the Pacific Ocean to see this magical treasure that is located at the northwestern side of the Galapagos Islands. During the months of July, August and September are ideal to witness the mating and reproduction of whale sharks, a visual spectacle for lovers of this beautiful species of the world.
