It’s not a coincidence that everyone says the islands are one of a lifetime experiences:
The Galapagos has the magic of real natural encounters. No matter the island you are visiting, there will always be tameless wildlife to remind us that we are not the only ones in this world. The climate oscillates up to 29C and, despite having a dry weather, there is no off season for those with limited vacation possibilities. The flora and fauna in the Galapagos assure there will always be amazing activities to do, from playing with a sea lion at a white sanded beach to diving with whale sharks in the north.

Location: 1000 km east of the Republic of Ecuador at the Pacific Ocean.

HIGHEST ELEVATION: 1,707 m (5,600 ft)

HIGHEST POINT: VOLCAN WOLF

DEMOGRAPHICS

Ecuadorian Mestizos, the mixed descendants of Spanish colonists and indigenous Native
Americans, who arrived mainly in the last century from the continental part of Ecuador.
Some descendants of the early European and American colonists on the islands also still
remain on the islands.

Population: 25,000 (2010)    –    Pop. density:  3 /km 2  (8 /sq mi)
