DIVING

Diving is always an option to consider during a visit to the Galapagos, a great deal of activity is underwater where divers can spot an incredible amount of marine life in a single dive. The rendezvous diving service is provided by our exclusive local partners who will take our guest to the nearest diving sites that are within the Yacht’s itinerary.

Guest can enjoy rendezvous diving in the many diving sites along the yacht ́s itinerary, guest will be provide with all the equipment and are always welcome to bring their own if they wish to, the diving boat can take up to 10 divers at a time and is equipped with all the necessary gear for the activity.

DIVING SITES

Kicker Rock

Is a remarkable site, also known as Leon Dormido (sleeping lion). Kicker Rock is known as being one of the most exciting sites for snorkeling, Free diving and diving in the Galapagos Islands. The variety of marine life surrounding this rock it’s just breathtaking, depending on the chosen activity guest will enjoy the interaction with sea turtles, colorful fish, hammer head sharks, white tip sharks, Galapagos sharks, dolphin’s eventual sightings, sea lions.

Punta Pitt

Located on the northern eastern tip of San Cristobál’s landscape,punta pitt diving site it’s a few minutes form the main anchoring site, guest will be able to enjoy a relax shallow dive session with Sting rays, White-tip sharks, Eagle rays, Green seaTurtles, Morays, Garden eels, Reef fishes.

Wreck Bay

Wreck Bay Diving site is located at San Cristobal island, divers will have the opportunity to see an old cargo ship sunk in the early 1900’s, it’s a fun dive mainly focus on the wreck.

Champion Islet

It’s a beautiful and easy dive site guest will see playful Galapagos Sea Lions, Green Sea Turtles, occasionally Hammerheads encounters, Rays, and many colorful reef fish.

Gardner's bay Seamount

(Gardner’s Shallows or Bajo Gardner) lies to the northeast of islote Gardner and consist of a couple of rocks which form the top of a sloping seamount. Currents are moderate which makes for relatively easy dive, there are often thermoclines. Encounters at this dive site may include large schools of eagle rays, manta rays, Jacks, Galapagos shark, white tip reef sharks lying on the sandy area, mackerels and sea lions.

Devil’s Crown

It’s one of those places that will stay in your memories forever, diving at this site it’s very exciting because of the large variety of marine life making it unpredictable for amazing encounters with creole fish, groupers, grunts and jacks all in massive schools, mixing together with morays, sea lions and the occasional white-tip shark or even hammer heads sharks.

Enderby Islet

A large variety of marine life can be seen at this site, usually in thick schools. Imagine being surrounded in all directions by yellow-tailed surgeonfish, Swim through a wall of grunts, while on the lookout for occasionally hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, white tip sharks on the sandy bottom.

Santa Fe

Santa Fe Island is located in near the center of the Galápagos Islands, diving at Santa Fe is most known for the turquoise water as well as marine life like rays, sea lions, moray eels, sharks, manta rays, reef fish, lobster, and octopus.

Bartolome

Is a small volcanic islet located just off the east coast of Santiago. Bartolome’s marine life consists mainly of stingrays, whitetip reef sharks, and various invertebrates. Most notable are the Galapagos penguins, the only species of penguin to live on the equator. This area is also the nesting and breeding grounds for green turtles, occasionally encounters with large mantas as well.ell.

Seymour Norte

NORTH SEYMOUR is a drift dive means swim along the current, easy dive, although can be strong currents, the perfect place to start your diving adventure in the Galapagos Marine Reserve, encounters with Galapagos sharks cruising with the current, cleaning stations for white tip sharks where a considerable amount can be seen, morays and colorful fish.

Mosquera Islet

Mosquera is an islet formed of rock and sand, is located in the channel formed between Seymour and Baltra Island, the sandy bottom its cover with millions of Garden Eels, guest can find several species of Sharks such as White Tip Reef Sharks, Black Tip Sharks, Galapagos Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, different species of fish, Spotted Eagle Rays, Sting Rays, Sea Turtles.

Guy Fawkes

Guy Fawkes is an islet on the North West corner of Isla Santa Cruz, home of a very friendly sea lion colony. The dive is along the coral covered wall of the islet that leads down to a sandy bottom. There are many small colorful fish that can be spotted hiding along the wall.

Punta Carrion

situated in the northeast cost of Santa Cruz Island, Punta Carrion is a nice dive site, where You can see schools of Hammerhead Sharks, White tip reef Sharks, Green Sea Turtle, Schools of Barracudas, Schools of Golden Rays, Mobulas Rays, and reef fish.

Gordon Rocks

Known as the best dive site in the central islands, situated in the east cost of Santa Cruz Island, Gordon Rocks is a world renowned site, where guest can see schools of Hammerhead Sharks, Black tip Sharks, White tip reef Sharks, Green Sea Turtle, Schools of Barracudas, Schools of Spotted Eagle Rays, Mobulas Rays, reef fish. Though Gordon Rocks can be a calm and easy dive at times, it is famous for its currents that carry the hammerhead sharks.

Daphne Manor

DAPHNE MINOR is a tuff cone form by volcanic ash, Guest will find a small cave located approximately 6 meters deep where one can see Sea Turtles, White Tip Reef Sharks and Rays, here is common to see the Sea Lions playing with the tail of the White Tip Reef Sharks which is amazing experience.

Pinzon

Pinzon is a small island located off the western coast of Santa Cruz, it is a great spot to interact with many playful sea lions, sea turtles and the red lipped bat fish, sea horses, rays, different species of sharks, lobster and pods of dolphins can regularly be seen.
